Armenia między wojną a czasem pokoju. Młoda dziewczyna podróżuje pod opieką żołnierza imieniem Atom przez rozdarty konfliktem kraj. Debiut fabularny Christine Haroutounian rozwija się niczym fragmenty gorączkowego snu: poprzez sceny przesiąknięte mitologią wojny, narodu, rodziny i religii docieramy do mistycznych i transowych głębi lokalnych rytuałów i zaklęć. Niezwykle oryginalny formalnie film wykorzystuje deformację ostrości, doprowadzając obraz do granicy wizualnej i semantycznej abstrakcji.

UWAGA! Filmy, animacje, wideoklipy, gry komputerowe prezentowane w ramach festiwalu mogą zawierać treści i obrazy wywołujące dyskomfort (m.in. przemoc, przemoc seksualna, przemoc słowna, nagość). introduction by Zwierz Popkulturalny

dir. Christine Haroutounian | Armenia, USA, Mexico 2025 | 105 min

Armenia between war and peace. A young girl travels through a country torn by conflict under the care of a soldier named Atom. Christine Haroutounian’s feature debut unfolds like fragments of a feverish dream: through scenes steeped in the mythology of war, nation, family and religion, we reach the mystical and trance-like depths of local rituals and incantations. Formally highly original, the film makes use of out-of-focus effects, pushing the image to the limits of visual and semantic abstraction.

PLEASE NOTE! Films, animations, music videos, and video games presented as part of the festival may contain content and imagery that could cause discomfort (including violence, sexual violence, verbal abuse, and nudity). Sequences with flickering may affect people who are sensitive to light. Some films and events contain intense sound effects.
